1770 images :: photography :: design :: canvas printing & Art Gallery :: Town of 1770 - Agnes Water, Queensland, AUSTRALIA

Situated within easy travelling distance ( 1 1/2 hours) from Gladstone and Bundaberg

The Town of 1770 is located on the picturesque shorefront of Round Hill Creek. Nestled on the leeward (western) side of the 1770 Peninsula, the area encompasses sheltered secluded coves for swimming, a tropical butterfly forest and some of the best shore fishing around. With easy access to the top of the 1770 headland peninsula you are rewarded with uninterrupted views of the magnificent Bustard Bay all the way to the Bustard Bay Headland topped with it's very own Historic Lighthouse and glimpses of Middle Creek, one of the four coastal creeks that bisect the coastline along the beach-front of Eurimbula National Park. The rolling hills of the hinterland provide the perfect backdrop for the ocean and river scene that unfolds with the setting sun.

1770 Headland has the distinction of being one of the few places on the East Coast of Australia, or indeed, in the World, where you can see the Sun Rise and Sun Set over water in the same location.

The views from the Headland also take in the dramatic Rocky Outcrops and Pristine White Sands of the Agnes Water Main Beach, drawing your eye along the coastline to Agnes Water Point, home of the Northernmost Surf Break on the East Coast of Australia.
